Safeguard Issues with SSD drive Laptops

Hello,

We have about 15 laptops that we purchased through Dell with 128gb SSD hard drives.  I have installed SafeGuard Easy 5.60 Standalone on them.  They encrypt ok, but after a few restarts, performance starts to get worse.  When I attempt to modify the installation at all (remove the policy, or remove the software), Windows explorer locks up and the system is unusable.

Also, there are times where the system is running ok, and then just locks up.  This is all due to the encryption software because I have tested the systems without it, and they perform ok.  It is also worth noting, that we have the same encryption software on HDD and they work flawlessly with it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

The systems are Dell Latitude E6420's with Intel i7 processors and Win7 32 bit professional.

Thank You!

Patrick

    We are now using 6.0.

When I worked with a rep from Sophos, he advised that I needed to do Fast Initial Encryption with the SSD's, and then install the Antivirus software.  Doing it in that order has been screwing up the system, causing random freezes and causing the Antivirus software to stop working properly (Symantec Endpoint Protection 12).

Now, when I install Symantec first (and all other software), then do the encryption, the laptops perform better.  I am hoping that is the case, but it is taking me about 2 dayst to test the laptop each time I change something.  This is a very strange issue!
