Cyberoam Virtual UTM appliance is not able to connect with the Customer My Account server since the last days.

Hi we have a couple of remaining sites that we are migrating to XG running on a virtual platform.

In the last couple of days one of our sites has been throwing the following error

"Cyberoam Virtual UTM appliance is not able to connect with the Customer My Account server since the last 25 days. If the appliance fails to synchronize for 2 more day(s), it will be deactivated. Please Click Here   to synchronize manually"

Synchronizing manually does nothing and it appears like the cyberoam portals have now all been shut down/disabled.

Checking if there's any way we can keep the VM's operation whilst we are preparing migration? Would a snapshot or restore of an old backup be able to keep the device working ?

  • Hi Damien we have managed to temp get it up with a 2 week old snapshot/backup but Covid has made this really difficult to migrate these sites. One site is literally on the other side of the country at present and travel is heavily restricted at the moment.

Sophos has been pretty useless regarding help with this and we got the alert 3 days before the appliance was going to shut down.

  • Hi Djdrastic, thanks for the advice. We ended up doing the same and the appliance is fully back online and functional.

Same for us now, time to migrate ^^
