PPTP VPN File Upload fails when sophos endpoint security is active

Hi,
we use PPTP VPN on Windows Clients to connect to our servers. Notebooks use Sophos Endpoint Security. When connected via VPN file upload of files starts but fails after around 14mb. On a test notebook without Sophos the upload doesn't fail.

Any suggestions which settings have to be changed to get the upload to finish while Sophos being active?

Thanks

  • Hello Christian,
My bad for picking the wrong forum. Should I start a new thread in the endpoint forum?

File upload meaning the user copying files while using windows explorer. I have to check whether smaller files work or not but I think I remeber that smaller files took forever. Failing means that the copy process comes to a hold, stops and then terminates/cancels.

As far as I can tell the following components are installed and enabled:

    - Manipulation Protection
    - On-Access-Scans
    - behavoiur sourveillance (sorry the gui itself is german)
    - On-Demand-Scans
    - Rightklick-Scans
    - Live-Protection
    - Web-Protection

    This should be it.

    Thanks again

  • Hello Yenoit Usaneers,

no problem. If you join the Endpoint group this thread can then be moved.

So just an Explorer copy - UNC share or mapped drive?
Nothing crossing my mind at the moment ... you've just tested without Sophos installed. Could you try with on-access disabled? If it makes a difference then just Live-Protection disabled.
