Can Sophos UTM Home Edition or Sophos XG Firewall Home Edition be used in a not for profit environment?

Hi there,

I would like to find out if ether Sophos UTM Home Edition or Sophos XG Firewall Home Edition be used in a not for profit environment.

How I see it is that this place that I am a volunteer at is not making any money and relies on grants, donations and volunteers to keep the organization going.

Thank you :)

  • While I imagine they wouldn't mind, you are better off contacting sales to discuss options. you may be able to receive a license for free of the full software.

Oftentimes vendors also have steep discounts on the physical hardware if you go through a verification process.

My advice is to contact them and ask, you may find the help and information to be much more than just the answer to this one question.

  • Hi there,

Thank you for the reply. Considering that the Sophos UTM Home Edition can be used for up to 50 IP addresses (I take it as devices) I will email then and find out if they can do anything for us. I just find it strange that the home version let you have 50 IPs/Devices.

I'll update when I find out more.

    Thank you again :)
