I am new to the Sophos Community and thought I would introduce myself. I apologize if this is not the correct place for an introduction - feel free to move the post if so.
About a year ago, I graduated with an IT concentrating in Network Security. And thus, it should not come as a surprise to see me lurking in these forums. I have been checking out Sophos products from a long time and I have also tested out the UTM in a virtual machine.
I like to test different Ransomware to see what they are doing, who are they communicating to, what do they prioritize when encrypting my documents. I also try to test out the anti-viruses against it to see who has the best protection - including Sophos Antivirus. I like tracking/blocking traffic that I find interesting and seeing how it changes my internet experience. E.g. - I would block certain adsense servers to see how the ads tailored to my browser changes.
After planning really hard, I have finally decided to deploy UTM in my home network(PROD) and also connect my lab(LAB) to it.
These are just a few things that I do in my spare time. I am sure there is something else out there who also comes up with these crazy ideas like mine and is very curious. I am hoping to share any knowledge that I have if I am able to help someone - I also plan on learning new things from the community here.
