IView Major Install Issue

Things you should know about installing Iview and before you purchase hardware

First the only hardware requirements is "Any Intel based Hardware".  Ok that is really not right.  Why Sophos really means is "Any Intel based Hardware that it will install on"

I bought a new Dell R530.  Raid 1 for OS (400GB SSD SATA) and Raid 10 for Logs (4TB SAS SATA).  This give me disk to grow into with my 4TB license.

The install always fails to install when trying to directly install to the OS drive.

Direct install error after the reboot:

Starting 02_00_0306

megasas: IOC Init cmd success

megasas:INIT adapter done

i8042: No controller found

Loading configuration

Password:

Can't type at the password prompt and you can't connect to the IP.

Sophos answer to this problem is to use the free version VMWare Hyper-V.

This worked to install the OS part of iview, but seeing how my Log drive is 8TB with I will use only 4TB because of my license, but the free version only allows for a max of 2TB drives.

So free version of VMWare Hyper-V is not an option.

So iview is only really supported on "Any OLDER Intel based Hardware".

So as of this writing iview installer (VI-SIVOS_20.00.0_MR-2-776) wont install.

The only options left are buy a full copy of ESX standard or buy a full copy Server 2012 R2.

Here is my hardware list for my new Dell R530 server.  If any one can help with getting iview installed to my OS drive that would be great.

I also tried the Dell OM installer DVD but iview didn't like and failed before the reboot.
