Download Wizard - Progress Status

Hi,

Don't know if I missed something but I believe it would be nice to have a "download progress status bar" to show how long it takes to finish or if any error is found.

Regards,

  • Hello xTiNcTion,

guess this applies to Endpoint Protection so it's better to post it there.

Anyway - where exactly do you want to see this progress bar, i.e. which downloads are you talking about?

  • uhmm... Download Manager. I mean after you add/select a package to be downloaded (suscription) .i.e. "Linux 7 Recommened.."

  • :smileytongue: You are actually watching the beast if you change a subscription? Nothing else to do??? :smileywink: Seriously - at best it'd be a rough estimate, after download comes the decoding and then deployment. If something fails you'll see the error after a few minutes. So what good would a progress bar do? Keep in mind that the progress information has to travel from SUM to Management Server and database to (remote) console - quite expensive (especially considering it'd be rarely used). Christian
