Use GoDaddy for e-mail?
I can not figure out what broke e-mail notification from UTM 9.4.
I have tried with and without smart agent. If you have your e-mail service with GoDaddy, how have you configured Sophos UTM 9.4 to be able to send out its alert e-mails, backup and report e-mails? GoDaddy supports ssl/tsl on port 465 and if you do not need secure, they also have non secure on ports 80, 25, 587, and 3535 and authentication is not needed. And if possible from scratch, please note the steps start to finish or if it is clearly noted in the manual, what page to check on. I have been trying many combinations under e-mail protection, advanced under smart agent as well as just under notifications, and just can't seem to get all the right parts in the right place. E-mail was working up till late July and then it stopped working. I even took a config file from early April and restored the system from it and still no e-mails were sent. I have both Mediacom for Cable Internet and e-mail as well as my GoDaddy e-mail account and now I just ant to have UTM send all it's mail / alerts through GoDaddy. My e-mail client can receive and send e-mail just fine, the Sophos unit can not. I do not find any info in the live log that is useful. below is a clip of the log with reference to the mail server for godaddy - smtpout.secureserver.net. I have a DNS host created for that under network definitions.
