Sophos virtual appliance vs OpenVPN

Hello all,

I have a questions and am wondering what you guys think. I'm going to install a VPN Virtual Appliance in my (home) network where a Active Directory is functional.

Either going to install Sophos XG / UTM or OpenVPN. What do you guys think?

Sophos does have more support regarding Active Directory implementation vs OpenVPN only supports LDAP. But on the other hand I'd assume OpenVPN would be need less performance as it would only be running for VPN as Sophos brings much more.

Ideas / suggestions?

Cheers
