HitmanPro.Alert exclusion for OneDrive On-demand files

In the past I had HitmanPro.Alert setup to exclude my OneDrive folder because it is set to be On-Demand. HitmanPro does not play nice with this because it starts downloading all the files whenever I do a scan of my PC.

For the life of me I can't remember how exactly I did this but I do remember it involved a batch file but I can't find anything about it anymore.

Could anyone be of any help? Sophos seems to be ignoring this product entirely because I found a post where they promised to fix this issue three years ago!

  • Hi

Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum.

Could you clarify if you're using Sophos Intercept X Advanced or if you're using the stand-alone HitmanPro.Alert product?

If you are using the stand-alone product, you can reach the HitmanPro support team at The version of the product integrated into Sophos' Intercept X will behave slightly differently, so we may not be the best suited to assist you.

Could you send me a screenshot of what your current exclusion looks like?
