Sophos without Intercept X

Hi All,

Very new to Sophos, I've just begun the training and I'm organizing hardware for testing but I have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer for so far.

Is deploying an XG Firewall without any of the additional Endpoint protection options going to be shooting myself in the foot? I am currently deploying SentinelOne and have found that the price for Intercept X with EDR is more than double the cost of SentinelOne so that may be a limiting factor for deploying to existing customers but if I'm going to be missing out on critical features then I will have to make it work aha.

Cheers in Advance.

  • I would not say you're shooting yourself in the foot by deploying just XG Firewall without Sophos Intercept X Advanced.  The primary feature of having both is Synchronized Security which allows the XG firewall to block the endpoint's access to network resources you specify depending on the endpoint's health status.  Any other security you might miss out on can be discovered by comparing a feature list of SentinelOne vs Sophos Intercept X Advanced.
