Issue with D Drive Mapping on Terminal Server through Zero Trust Network Access

Hello Sophos Community,

I'm currently using Sophos Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) to connect remotely to a shared folder on an RDS server, plus RDP and connect to Remote Apps. The shared folder is mapped as the D drive on staff laptops. However, I've been facing intermittent issues where the D drive does not always connect properly when staff are working outside of the office network. I use a Sophos XGS 2100 as the ZTNA Gateway.

Sometimes, when they try to access the D drive, the connection doesn’t establish, and the drive appears disconnected. Ideally, I would like the drive to always prompt for credentials and connect seamlessly when staff are working remotely, just as it does when they are in the office. If they manually type the address of the server in File Explorer then it works fine, however staff would like to have the D drive always accessible regardless of where they are.

Has anyone else encountered this issue or have any suggestions to ensure that the D drive mapping always works reliably outside the network? Any guidance on configurations or settings to make sure it always prompts for credentials and connects would be greatly appreciated.

I switched from SSL VPN to ZTNA this year and I totally love it, and this is the only issue I have at the moment.

Thank you in advance for your help!
