ZTNA Active Directory SMB/CIFS

Hi All,

I am busy testing SMB/CIFS over ZTNA which works fine however it's seems domain workstation must authenticate manually to get to the files shares.

I'm running a DC with a file server and when accessing the file server over ZTNA the mapped network drive is unreachable. The only way to get it connected is to manually enter \\server and then authenticated. I guest the ZTNA client should authenticate to AD to connect to the shares automatically?

Has anyone got this to work and maybe shed some light on this?

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Troy, If the ZTNA agent is installed in a domain-joined machine, and the respective file servers you are trying to access are a part of the same domain, the access should be seamless. But if they are on different domains, the user might be asked to re-auth. This is the default behaviour of windows.
