Puremessage not detecting a lot of .ru domain spam of late.

Hi We have recently been getting a lot of Spam into the business from domains ending with .RU

This has been everything from Rolex Spam to other spam that just includes a link and totally random text.

I have been submitting them to the is-spam@labs.Sophos.com as advised but we keep on getting more of this junk in and end users are starting to complain.

Almost all of it is coming in with a rating of less than 10 through puremessage for Exchange.

is there any way of blocking this junk? I realise we will probably have to block the whole top level domain to do it.

  • Yes, same here.

    I've been emailing in samples since last week but puremessage is still letting it pass right though.

    This is the one that has tipped the boat with me now, sick of chasing my tail with PureMessage, looking at hosted solutions now.

    Sophos AV is great but puremessage has been a major letdown !
