Can't connect to the Spam Digest email link

Hi, We are currently in the process of Trailing PureMessage and so far its great. We have a small gripe with it at the moment but im sure someone will have the answer. :-) Everything seems to be working correctly except for the Spam Digest email that i have set to be sent twice a day. the email goes out fine people get the standard link but when they click on it they get the classic "this page cannot be displayed, please make sure your connected to the internet blah blah blah" message. heres a little info on the current setup. We have our mail server based interally (in our basement in the UK) we have about 25 PCs in the uk office which log into our terminal server which is actually based in Germany. when i use the link in the digest email on my local desktop (which is on the local domain) it didn't want to work until i added a line to the Hosts file which works for any local users. (host file line was "192.168.16.2 sfiasbs.sfia.local") but all our users browse their emails on the terminal server based in germany and as much as we try to get them to browse locally they just wont have it (and then they complain about the lag they get when viewing on the server!!! but hey thats another issue for another forum) I'm fairly confident that this is to do with mapping something on the german server which will go to the local address of the mail server. Unfortunately im only a little geek and I feel i need a bigger (more specialised) geek to help me out, So please if i have missed anything important please let me know and ill do my best to provide it. Oh 1 thing i did forget is that the internal Mail server is behind a draytec router (im sure this will add to the issue but once again my knowledge isn't sufficient for me to make any really educated guesses) So if you were able to understand ,that and feel you are up for the challenge you know who to call.... (hang on a minute thats the A-Team) :-) Please Help All the best Stuart

  • Thanks for the initial reply but i have no managed to find an acceptable work around. what i did was create a virtual directory/website in IIS and then pointed it at the End User Website folder. (\Program Files\Sophos\PureMessage\EndUserWebsite) then it was a case of restarting to the WWW Publishing service. now all i need to do is change the link in the Spam Digest email to the new site thats been created and all users need to log in with their standard Active Directory credentials. :-) All the best Stuart
