Sophos proxy displaying local servernames

Hi,

I am afraid I have no experience of the Sophos Proxy Server so I am asking a question which may be so basic as to be embarrassing, but not knowing is also embarrassing.

We have a customer who is using a Sophos device as a proxy server on its network, we have used Group Policy to enforce the PC's to use the proxy server and set the Bypass for local address exceptions.

When the users connect to local servers that are in the bypass server list on the windows 7 PC's they are still showing up in the log files on the Sophos device. Is this normal? Or are the PC's ignoring the bypass list?

Any help gratefully received.
