Teamview through Web Appliance

Question

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has managed to get Teamview working through Sophos Web Appliance? We moved to Sophos security suite recently and migrated our Web Proxy to Sophos web appliance. Unfortunately since the migration, teamview has stopped working.

If anyone has any handy info on how to get it working, it would be much appriciated.

Hi Dimi,

Teamviewer only attempts to use ports 80 or 443 if the main port it uses (port 5938) is blocked. See here:

Teamviewer traffic doesn't use HTTP protocol, which means that the Web Appliance doesn't understand it's requests and can not relay them correctly. To correct this issue, please open port 5938 outbound on your firewall.
