PureMessage requires that you have the 32-bit Visual C++ Redistributable installed on your computer

Hi, I'm trying to uninstall PureMessage via Add/Remove Programs but this error is generated and then the uninstall fails: "Sophos PureMessage requires that you have the 32-bit Visual C++ Redistributable installed on your computer" "Fatal error during installation." The server has this config: Windows SBS 2003 R2 Exchange 6.5 SP 2 PureMessage 3.0 Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0..21022 I'd appreciate if anyone could point me at tools or instructions on how to manually remove PureMessage.
