Sophos Web Appliance - Tagged Local List Report

Hi there,

I am just trialling the Sophos Web Appliance product, and looking to create a custom report based upon a local site list I have created.  Here is the process that I went through

Configuration, Local Site List

Entered a number of sites that I would like to monitor

Tagged them all "Custom Bespoke List"

What I would like is to create a daily report showing anyone that accessed these sites for the previous day.  Try as I might I have not been able to do this within the default report configuration.  I have then attempted to export the log files and import them into WebSpy but again cannot see where this information is actually stored within the Web Appliance

    Hi Andy,

    I'm afraid the tags are used for allowing/blocking a set of sites, but not for reporting.  They only take effect when combined with an additional policy.

    If it's just for one 'set' of sites then it would be best to re-categorize them to the 'Custom' category rather than using tags.  That way you can just use the 'Top Users By Category' report based on 'Custom'.

    You could still use the exported logs, but they don't show you the tag.  So your reporting software would need to search for these sites rather than searching for the tag.  This link should help with the logging:
