URL Shorteners - Sophos Web Management

We have recently moved to Sophos Web Management from Websense and are having issues with URL Shorteners being blocked when the users should be able to access the ultimate full url.

I have seen 1 other community post on this from 2009 suggesting that it be added as a feature.

Has anyone seen this ?

    Phil,

    The appliance will test the short URL first as that is what is requested by the client, which then would return the redirection URL to the client machine for a second request that would go out and then be tested by the appliance.  There is no way to tell what the full redirect URL is until that second request is made by the client.   I would suggest using the policy tester under Configuration > Group Policy > Policy Test to see what is blocking the short URL.
