Connection to URL categorization service

Hello,

Our web appliance just started generating warnings:

Description

~~~~~~~~~~~
The appliance has failed to reach the URL categorization service for more than 10 minutes. You must resolve this issue in order to get correct policy results.
Anyone else having this issue?  Sounds like Sophos might be having problems with their URL categorization service...
  • Hi Geoff and JimShore,
    If you are having continued connetion issues to our URL Categorization servers, I would recommend emailing or calling into support so they can investigate.
    The appliance does a lookup for every request and caches the result for a few minutes.  If connection to the servers is not available, it will use the cached entry even if the entry has expired; this means common sites will still have the correct policies applied.   URLs that are not cached will be set at uncategorized.
    If you are using Endpoint Web Control, then the filtering is done by the end point and it contacts the URL Categorization server itself, not the appliance.
