We run PM for Unix and have the daily digest of quarantined messages e-mailed to all of our users at 2:00p.m. We (and they) appreciate the ability to release messages from Quarantine with a simple click on a message i.d.
What I am requesting on behalf of one of my users is the ability to automatically add the sender of a released message to the user's personal whitelist. My user's preference is to have you assume any released message sender is o.k. with them and would ask you to automatically add that sending address to their whitelist.
I can the dangers in this and can see why you might not want to presume for the user that as their default preference for all released messages; alternatively though, what about adding a checkbox to the digest next to each message which by default is NOT checked and give users the option to check the checkbox before clicking the message i.d., or some other "opt-in" safeguard?
Or another option is to click the sender's name on the daily digest to add them to the user's whitelist. So, two clicks instead of one, about the same level of inconvenience (to the user) as adding a checkbox.
Thanks for considering this possibility.
