SPX Encryption on ES1000

Question

Hi,

I am testing the SPX encryption and would like to encrypt every message that goes to every address at one domain ie. anything@domain.com

I thought this would be easy, but I am struggling. I can get it to encrypt to specific email addresses using "header contains: email address", but it doesn't work with just the domain or wildcards.

Any help would be appreciated as I have the signed order, but cannot place until this is proved to work.

Hi there Tim, This should actually be very easy to do, but the challenge might be in the way you can wildcard addresses within the policy wizard. One way to do it would be as follows: 1. In the "Configuration -> Policy -> Additional Policy -> Outbound" section, click the "Add..." button. 2. Choose a "Watch list" rule type, then click "Next" 3. Choose the "Include Recipient" tab, select the "Customer groups" radio button, and enter the wildcard domain (e.g. "@domain.com") and click "Add". The syntax allows you to specify that if the recipient address of the message is to anyone_address@domain.com, the policy will be enforced. Click "Next". 4. Choose the "Encrypt the message using SPX" from the dropdown menu and select the template you'd like to use, then click "Next". 5. Provide a description of the rule, and check the checkbox to activate the rule, then click "Save". That should be all you need to do! Note that this rule will correctly look at the ENVELOPE FROM (e.g. actual intended recipient) of the message and enforce the policy appopriately, instead of having you depending on headers.
