We are now recruiting participants for the upcoming PureMessage for UNIX 6.0 Beta, currently planned to begin in July, 2011.
This is a major release that has new functionality and technology enhancements that include:
- Support for the IPv6 protocol
- Updated platform support
- Redhat 6.0 (64 bit)
- Debian 6.0 (64 bit)
- CentOS 5.6 (32 and 64 bit)
- Updated Postfix MTA. Version 2.8 is designed to perform better on loaded systems and enable new features for advanced connection controls.
- Updated PostgreSQL database. Version 9.0, which has numerous performance enhancements.
- Multiple enhancements to log search, including search by subject.
- DSN pass-through support.
- A supported method to deploy PureMessage servers for redundancy and disaster recovery via a SAN.
- And many other improvements and enhancements.

Note that if you have any near or long-term plans to support IPv6 within your email infrastructure, we highly recommend that you test out the new IPv6 features to ensure they will meet your needs.
Requirements for beta participants:
- Must sign a beta agreement.
- Must provide feedback to the Sophos Product Management team (no more than once a week).
- No requirement to run the beta in production environment.
