PureMessage on Linux

We are new to Sophos and have, so far, installed SEC on an SBS 2003 Server. We don't think our server would be able to take PureMessage as well so we are looking to run the UNIX version on a small DMZ running Linux. Can you advise if this is a reasonable plan, and if PM will run in Linux? If so, is there any particular flavour of Linux favoured by Sophos?

Regards

  • Hi Tommill,

We've been running 7 PureMessage servers on Linux Redhat for a long time, and the servers are very stable. We never had any crash or any other kind of problems. 100% availability.

Furthermore, running PureMessage on Linux is a very flexible solution, you can create Perl script and do more things...
