Can a rule be used to prevent a message from being encrypted with SPX

A few employees have complained about messages of a personal nature being encrypted. They would like to have a force our Sophos Email Appliance to -not- apply SPX encryption to a message. They know how to force encryption using the Confidential sensitivity setting in Outlook but they want a method to override encryption when they are doing personal communications with doctors and banks.

  • Hello,

An easy suggestion would be for you to configure the encrypt rule to detect for perhaps a keyword in the subject or something along that line exclude it from encryption.  You would idealy place that detection prior to the rule that encrypts messages.  You could either add a header or perhaps stop processing there and deliver the message.
