Puremessage Command Line To Disable On-Access Scan On Exchange Store Scan

Hi All,

My backup slow down (from 11hrs to 14hrs) after installed Sophos Solution (Puremessage, ES100, Endpoint & Security).

After some investigation, I found out that this was cause by Puremessage Exchange Store Scanning, On-Access Scan. It slow down the backup on User Mailbox.

I have tried to disable Proactive Scan and Background scan but no improvement. Only when I disable the On-Access Scan then the backup speed come back to normal.

My Symantec Backup Exec 11d has Pre/Post Command option that allow to have command line before and after backup.

My SBE 11d is installed in another server; not in the Exchange server that installed with Puremessage.

I will like to know is there any command line that I can run to Disable the Puremessage Exchange Store On-Access scan before backup and Enable it backup after backup.

Hi,
There isn't a command to disable the on-access scanner, but the fact that the on-access scanner appears to be the source leads me to believe that you don't have all your Exchange folders excluded from the endpoint client's policy.
Can you verify that your SAV has been configured on your Exchange server as per this knowledgebase article?
