Welcome to the UTM “Elevated” 9.4 Beta

Welcome to the UTM “Elevated” 9.4 Beta.

We are excited to announce the availability of the beta of our next UTM beta and look forward to your feedback on this release!

UTM “Elevated” 9.4 will bring some great new features to the UTM platform, along with stability improvements and support for new hardware that we will be releasing shortly.

What’s new in 9.4?

  • Sophos Sandstorm

Sophos Sandstorm is our cloud based sandboxing solution for Web and E-Mail Protection, providing even better zero-day protection. Using the beta license you will be able to use Sophos Sandstorm within your e-mail and web protection policies. It’s easy to configure and use, just enable Sophos Sandstorm within your policies and UTM will take care of the rest.

  • Sophos Transparent Authentication Suite (STAS)

STAS provides transparent single sign-on with Microsoft Active Directory and UTM. There is no need to install an agent on every machine, one agent running on the ActiveDirectory Server is coordinating with the UTM and exchanging information on users that logged-in to the ActiveDirectory. Using user and group objects in UTM policies is greatly simplified with this, with limited installation efforts.

  • SSL VPN IPv6 Support

SSL VPN can be configured for IPv6 interfaces, enhancing our VPN capabilities to IPv6 network stacks.

  • WAF Persistent Session Cookies

WAF now supports using persistent session cookies, reducing needed user interaction.

These are just the biggest changes we introduce with UTM 9.4, there is a much larger number of smaller stability improvements.
