Can we expect support for NTLM authentication/passthrough in UTM 9.5?
If not can we expect it anyway in UTM?

NTLM authentication is not part of UTM 9.5, we are currently still evaluating if we can fit it into UTM 9.6. NTLM authentication is something that we do want to address moving forward.

Hello Jan,
Thank you for this information. We see more and more customer moving back to an on-premise or hybrid Exchange environment. Therefore the support for NTLM through the WAF is verry important. Right now we have to tell the customer to use basic authentication(they think this is a step back) in combination with the WAF.
Please give this a high priority and keep me posted about any updates!
Thanks.
I found this comment intriguing. With Exchange 2016 (and 2013 I presume), all the authentication mechanisms are handled through IIS (ie, webpage-client frontend). How would UTM know anything about nor handle authentication through the NAT? Or, I'm missing the point which is why I'm seeking clarification as to whether this idea would benefit me. We don't WAF on-prem Exchange but its NAT'ed on additional interfaces with static ips from the ISP. Thanks for your time, Pmc
Jan,
we all hope that NTLM will be supported in 9.6.
We need a true TMG/ISA replacement and some features on UTM/XG WAF module are still missing.
Regards
Any update on this? Will 9.6 have NTLM authentication?
