Hi there,
To configure an external SMTP server for notifications, I'd like to assign a hostname associated to several IP addresses, but the field doesn't let an availabity group.
Can anyone help, please?
I have an UTM 9.509

Hola Luis and welcome to the UTM Community!
A DNS Host object will only resolve to a single IP. A DNS Group object is what you want, I think.

Thanks Bob.
Two points regarding your suggestion:
1 - How can I map two different IP address to a DNS group object?
2 - In the "SNMP server" field (Management/Notifications/Advanced), a DNS group is not permitted. I drag & drop but is nor possible.
1 - A DNS Group object gets populated with all of the IPs in an A record associated to the FQDN.
2 - Yes, I see that now, but you can use an Availability Group there.
Cheers Bob
Hi Bob,
I've tried to set up different static DNS host - always the same name but different IP add. - but it doesn't work.
On the other hand, I tried an Availabity group too but is not permitted as SNMP server option.

Luis
