UTM 9.4 - Persistent Sessions not working

Hi

We upgraded to UTM 9.4 because we need the Persistent Sessions option to publish our SharePoint intranet. I tried enabling the option in "Reverse Authentication" and according to https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-US/123914 a checkbox should appear on the Default Template Form to allow the user to be remembered.

However this checkbox does not appear on the login form. I don't remember altering the Default Template login form so what could be wrong here?

Thanks!

I got the persistent session cookie feature working (with help of the sophos support). This is working fine using the internet explorer. However I am still unable to open documents with word or excel. Instead of the document the login form is loaded. Did anybody get this working?

    Hi,

could you perhaps share what the solution was for your setup? This still doesn't work in our environment.

    Thank you!

  • The Sophos support sent me a customized form template. As it seems the default templates are not properly updated when going to 9.4.

    Edit:

I have uploaded the template here :[see below]

I hope it is ok to share this. :)

Edit 2: Sorry for the heavy ads on this page. Just asked google for free file hosting an clicked at the first one. :D

Edit 3: 2016-07-26 BAlfson - replaced the external link with the following (uploaded via the 'Insert/Edit Media' button above):

    waf_css_checkbox_logged_in.zip

  • Hi,

you can find the HTML code for the default template with persistency in the online help under Webserver Protection > Reverse Authentication > Form Templates.

The important line is this one:

    <input name="httpd_persistency" type="checkbox"></p>
