WAF configuration

Hello guys,
I'm trying to use WAF feature in the UTM. I'd set the configuration but whenever i do a simple XSS test on the web server' IP address the waf will protect it and whenever i do this with the website's domain name it won't.
I cant understand the reason, do i need to do any DNS configuration?
this issue is shown in the attachments.

You really need to test from a different network. In most cases, traffic within the same subnet will NOT traverse the UTM and will go direct unless forced to do otherwise by overt proxying.
