Use UTM Waf feature to do reverse proxy for lync

I am planning to try to configure the Web server protection feature of one UTM to do reverse proxy for LYNC 2013 products.

Does anyone already tried this type of configuration? Is it possible/suuported?

If someone does where did you find all the information needed? 

Do you have some advices ?

    Hi ,

    Lync is using lots of ports and lots and few domains ( sub domains ) , it will be almost impossible for you to do it .
    Lync uses an edge server in front of the second server.
    The easiest way is to use Microsoft TMG to do it.
    Put a TMG server behind the UTM and DNAT what you need to the TMG and let it do the publish.
    Put the edge server in A DMZ which is connected to the DMZ network with the TMG a d put the second lync server on the LAN network connected to the LAN network of the TMG with your LAN.
    Configure the TMG to do all publish.
    It will be almost impossible or impossible to do it with the UTM.
    Lync is a complicate install , it's not just few clicks :-).

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply. We thougt to use TMG but Microsoft says that this product will be end of live.

    I don't know if I can use UAG, I found a way to configure a reverse proxy using one IIS server but , as we are using sophos UTM I wanted to know If we can do that with this product and if we can find some steps or advices to make it works.

    Does anyone knows?

    Untrue. We currently run two Lync 2013 pools behind a UTM320.
