Synology NAS and UTM WAF

Hello,

I have a Synology NAS behind a Sophos UTM 9.6.

I have configured the WAF to connect to the Synology.

This works mainly fine except :

- Drive : I cannot connect to Synology Drive using the windows app, while on the web it works OK.

- DS Audio : this work fine with any browser, but when I try to access it from the application, I can browse the songs, see covers, but unable to listen to the music : I got the error "unable to play music"

Is there any documentation, tutorial to configure a Synology NAS using the UTM WAF ?

Salut Laurent,

If you Google on site:community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/f synology, you will find many relevant threads. Trying site:community.sophos.com/kb "sinology" demonstrated that there is no KnowledgeBase article.

Bonjour,

I have managed to make the Windows version of the Synology Drive working with the WAF :)

In addition to the WAF configuration, you need to DNAT the TCP/6690 port to your Synology.
