Difference between "A DNS GROUP object" and "A DNS HOST object"

I am using Sophos UTM 9 (Ver. 9.707).
If DNS has multiple IP addresses, set it as "A DNS GROUP object", but if I mistakenly set it as "A DNS HOST object",
What kind of impact will it have?
Is the impact just that it is processed on one host and not processed on other hosts?
When I changed the "A DNS HOST object" setting to "A DNS GROUP object", the processing time became faster.

  • You've understood correctly and you've seen why using the GROUP object is preferable if there are multiple IPs associated with an FQDN.
