Looking to create an encrypted connection to an AWS instance to act as a vpn

I'm wondering if anyone has set this up.

I'm looking for a simple vpn to a AWS instance so specific traffic at my home site can be proxied based upon client ip, port, network etc...

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,

Doug

  • Wow David,

Have you read the Sophos UTM reviews on AWS market place?

Can agree about support and lack of HowTo documentation.

Have been using Sophos/Astaro now for ten years.  All in all this site is my go to place in resolving issues and finding solutions.

  • AWS is not for the faint of heart, is it, Bob?

I think the complaints about the lack of support are almost all from folks using the PAYG instances as they don't include support.  Also, I think working with a reputable Sophos Solution Partner will help get a solution with BYOL instances that both save money and include Sophos Support.

    Cheers - Bob
