Running Sophos on Virtual Box

I wanna use my laptop as a virtual Sophos UTM with Virtual Box for my home topology but all are physically connected to my home router so how can i actually use my laptop as a virtual Sophos? The laptop that runs Sophos has 1 ethernet and 1 wifi ports, the ethernet port is not connected to anything. If you ever done this would you answer step by step?

  • Merhaba and welcome to the UTM Community!

I suspect that it would work, but I haven't played with Virtual Box.  I have done what you want in my lab with VMWare Player.

  • Hahahaha, Hey Bob Merhaba!!! It is an incredible community :)

Would you tell me about the topology that you designed, did you used virtual ethernet ports for Sophos and what was their subnet, and how did you manage to connect it to your modem, it would be great if you could send me your network settings on VMWare Player

  • Ah, Christmas and New Year's...

I think the picture below is the one I experimented with.

    Cheers - Bob
