Hello everyone! I am having an issue with Sophos end point protection after upgrading to windows 10 and wanted to see if I was alone.
After the upgrade, Sophos end point protection kept telling me is wasn't scanning. It also was unable to update. I figured something had gone wrong with the windows 10 upgrade, so I attempted to uninstall Sophos so that I could reinstall it.
I logged into the Astaro 220 to disable tamper protection for the troubled computer, but the computers name had changed (a bunch of random letters were after the actual name of the PC). I tried turning off the tamper protection anyways, and it still wouldn't allow me to uninstall, giving me an error message that tamper protection needed to be disabled.
I then tried deleting the computer from the list of computers in the Sophos UTM end point manager and it still wouldn't let me uninstall it.
I then tried running a new installation, and that failed because it sees a third party antivirus already installed that it can't remove. I have nothing else installed, so the only thing I could think of was that it was seeing Windows Defender. I turned that off and tried again and still no luck.
I have no idea what else to try. Does anyone have any similar experience or ideas they would like to share?
