Can't install on Windows 8.1 Update 1

Evening all,

I am running UTM 9.210-20 as home user and following the link under Endpoint Protection to grab the binary for application on my clients PCs. However, if I try to run the download on Windows 8.1 (all updates to Nov 2014) or Windows 2012 R2, the install starts and then bombs out. I have tried numerous things such as :
• Disable Windows Defender
  • Disable Windows Firewall
  • Disable UAC
  • Run under local security Administrator
But none of the above I just get an application exception in the event log and error in the install log file (attached)

Any ideas?

Paul

  • Hi, Paul, and welcome to the User BB!

0xc000041d looks like a Microsoft error code.  You can check for it in the Sophos KnowledgeBase.  Outside of that you might google site:astaro.org 0xc000041d to see if anyone else has any ideas.

    Cheers - Bob
