Sophos Client Firewall

Hi all,

I've been making some tests with different sophos products and i've had well diffrent results =)

With Sophos Enduser Protection (Stand Alone) there is a endpoint Firewall called "Sophos Client Firewall" (which i think is really great!!) and while with UTM 9.2 Endpoint Protection, the client software looks exactly the same although the only missing part is the, you guessed it, "Sophos Client Firewall".

Anyone has any clue if the "Sophos Client Firewall" can be enabled from the UTM Endpoint Protection? if yes how and if not then why isn't it included? For road warriors the "Sophos Client Firewall" can be really useful...

A funny thing is that the UTM EndPoint client help file has a full chapter about Sophos Client Firewall which makes me really think that its the exact same software at the end =)

    I have the same issue. I have the home license of the UTM, but can't find the client firewall installation package for laptops that leave the house. Is this something that is only available through an enterprise license? I have Endpoint Protection installed from the download package within the UTM (Endpoint Protection-Computer Management-Deploy Agent) however the client firewall isn't installed with it. Is there a custom download package I can create to include the client firewall?[:O]

    It may be available in the future for home users when copernicus and galileo are in full swing. The big thing about Galileo is direct integration between the end user devices AV/FW and the UTM/SFOS. So as Synopex says, it's on the roadmap, unsure on the availability to non-enterprise users.

    E. Belcourt....Thanks! I sort of thought that might be the answer. However, the home license is free and a great product. Guess I'll just go with a third-party firewall on laptops for now....not sure I trust the Windows Firewall.

    Windows Firewall may or may not have been called a revolving door in the past...
