open ports for Tplink OC controller

Hi Guys

i have a Sophos UTM 9 SG310

within the network i have 7 Reds connected and each Red  has TPLink access point, I can ping and reach these access points via cmd and web browser. but the hardware controller which is a TPLink OC 200 cannot see them, so i cannot bind the wireless network as one.

Tplink advised to do the following

Please go to Transmission – NAT – Virtual Server and configure a virtual server for TCP&UDP port, ranging from 29810 to 29814.

any suggestions?

as per many thanks in advance

  • Hi Khalid,

"Please go to Transmission – NAT – Virtual Server and configure a virtual server for TCP&UDP port, ranging from 29810 to 29814."

That looks like an instruction of what to do in the TPLink, or???

Without seeing a log line where the traffic was blocked, it's hard to guess what the problem might be.  If there are no blocks visible in any log, then maybe you need an SNAT - a simple network diagram with subnets and IPs would help analyze that.

    Cheers - Bob

  • Hello Khalid,

for our understanding of your network: you have one central site with a UTM SG310 and 7 branch offices with e a RED device on each of these sites?

What kind of REDs? How are they configured? Show us the edit windows of the RED connection of one site.

Where is the TPLink OC200 (which interface?)

Where did you put the access points?

Show us the fw rules for that connections (edit windows)

    Maybe this is helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mkU3rI9coE
