VLAN TAG on a WAN Interface

Hi.

I will replace a Draytek 2960 for a UTM SG 125. In the Draytek, the Wan Interface has VLAN : enabled and VLAN ID : 20 (it connects to the ISP's fiber modem).  How can I configure it on the UTM ?

  • Hey Marco.

Is this a PPPoE connection? If so, try ticking the "VDSL" checkbox under "Hardware" when creating the interface. This will enable a new field "VLAN Tag" under "Advanced", there you can set the VLAN ID you need.

  • Hi,

you may use a Interface from type "Ethernet VLAN" or "DSL(PPPOE)" with VDSL checked.

  • Hi Giovani

    Ty for your answer

I don´t know if it's a ppoe connection. I only know that the Draytek connects to a fiber modem.

The Wan interface has  the config i send:

  • Per your screenshot you are using a static IP address, no PPPoE involved. In that case, as dirkkotte pointed out, you would set your WAN interface as type "Ethernet VLAN", bind it to a hardware port (eth1, eth2, etc) and set 20 at "VLAN Tag". Other than that it's just IP addresses, gateways and netmasks as usual.
