If you hve recently purchased a new ASG appliance, please contact your reseller to get the correct license - the software license does not work on ASG hardware. If this is a used appliance that you want to use with the Home-Use license, search here for instructions on that.

Just to make this simple. If this was installed using the hardware ISO, then from the shell you need to delete the /etc/asg file, then reboot, for a home license to work. Alternately, you can wipe the hard drive, then reinstall ASG from a software ISO.

Yes, that is a software ISO. You will need to wipe the hard drive first and you will also need to hook up a keyboard and monitor to configure settings during the install.
Since you already have the hardware version of Astaro installed, it may be quicker to go with the first option and delete the asg file. You'll need to do this from the shell, either console, with keyboard and monitor hooked up, or from SSH.

1) login as loginuser 2) enter the command "su" (without quotes) to elevate to root priviledges 3) enter the command "rm /etc/asg" (without quotes) 4) reboot
