Hello. I have to say I've been EXTREMELY impressed with ASL. I sat someone down with VERY MINIMAL linux experience(he barely knew how to ls,cd,..) and told him to configure it using the web interface. It took him only a few minutes(probably because I was telling him what to click and stuff...)
Anyway, we are looking for a replacement for our current Novell Proxy. This product(ASL) seems almost ideal for our needs. However, I just want to know if it is ever going to be possible to add rules to the squid.conf from the web interface. Or at least edit the ACL's and http_access's that are there already.
The problem is that I work in a school(high school) and we'd like to block certian words and sites (ex. porn, www.playboy.com)...
I know it's possible to:
http_access allow loginusers !blocked_sites
Doing this from the web interface would be wonderful. Also, it'd be great to be able to edit the "blocked_sites" file from the web.
Ok, sorry for such a long post. Just wondering 'bout this. Thanks a lot.
