It did a scan on an ASL box using NMAP here are the results:
(The 1515 ports scanned but not shown below are in state: filtered)
Port State Service
21/tcp closed ftp
22/tcp open ssh
25/tcp open smtp
53/tcp closed domain
80/tcp open http
110/tcp open pop-3
113/tcp closed auth
443/tcp open https
TCP Sequence Prediction: Class=random positive increments
Difficulty=2187486 (Good luck!)
Remote OS guesses: Linux 2.3.49 x86, Linux 2.3.99-pre2 x86
Nmap run completed -- 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 241 seconds
Everything was as I expected. My only query is that while I was scanning, I was looking at Reporting -> Portscans. I opened the live log, but didn't see that the box was being scanned. Should this not be displayed here? I did however see the scan as it was occuring under Reporting -> Filter (livelog). It is great that I can see this, but it would also be great it someone scanning an ASL box was automatically blocked ala Port Sentry. Is this in the works for the final version? Thanks in advance,
Cecil
