Keep existing addresses

Right now we are directly connected to the internet via a 2 MBit leased line.

If we set up your firewall in between the existing router and our present network - is there a chance to keep all the existing "real IP-addresses" or do we have to change them to a private numbering scheme like 192.168....?

Hi Markus,

yes you can use your "real IP-addresses",
but then you need to split your network
into internal and external ranges for
doing the routing.

Having more security we recommend to
use a private numbering scheme.

Yes, i can imagine that.

Its just because the current address entries are scattered all over server-settings, config-files, program entries (and a lot of other places i forgot to mention...)
