No network visibility/connectivity when using 5Ghz networks

We have a network of 10 AP100C units all being controlled by a Sophos XG210 running 16.05.4 MR-4. APs are running on 8.0.001

All APs are in 1 group. They provide a 4SSIDs all running in Bridge to VLAN mode on four unique VLANS (lets say 101,202,303 and 404) Management of the devices is accomplished through VLAN 404 as well as being a bridge to an SSID.

All VLANs are routed at interfaces on a Juniper EX3300. The Sophos XG is directly connected upstream of the EX3300 between our LAN and our WAN Gateways.

As stated, our 5Ghz networks don't work at all. When running in dual radio mode the SSIDs are visible but some 5ghz capable clients will fail to connect (older laptops, for example, don't have an issue). When the network is configured as a 5Ghz network, the SSIDs are not visible at all.

Any help you guys can give is much appreciated.

  • Hi Tom,

Can you try configuring channel as 36 instead of auto and check whether you are seeing the SSID?

I feel the AP had picked up the DFS channel. Either it is doing the CAC time or the clients are not able to scan some of the DFS channel.

Also may I know how many APs connected to UTM?

    Regards,
