AP6 420E question about bands

Three bands: this includes ALL channels in each band -- including, for example, 5GHz upper and lower and DFS channels? Just asking because the current APX needs to dedicate one radio to upper 5GHz and one to lower 5GHz if both frequencies are to be covered. (Eliminating 2.4GHz.)

Wanting to upgrade later this year and unfortunately need to maintain a few IoT 2.4GHz-only devices as well as have a lot of channel flexibility to survive in a dense 5GHz environment, and adding 6GHz, of course. (By this, I mean a lot of OTHER, nearby networks with 5GHz, not dense in the sense of an auditorium with lots of devices on my network.) So I'm assuming a radio for each complete frequency (2.4/5/6 GHz), but wanted to make sure and it's not spelled out that I can see in the datasheets.

  • Yes you have 3 antennas, each for one band.

The APX320 you are referring to, had a Dual band antenna, leading to this decision.
