Hi all,
since the AP15 is not working correctly if it is managed by XG, LuCar Tonisuggested me to open a Sophos Central account as the wireless protection is free of charge. Today I received the email that the lincese is expiring.
Should I care that tomorrow the AP stops working?
Thanks
Expiry of license should not affect the AP operations.
That is just a relic of the Licensing model pre "Free to use" model. See: community.sophos.com/.../sophos-wireless-removal-of-license-requirement-in-sophos-central

Thanks Lucar but I do not understand your answer. Could you try to be simple and straightforward? Thanks
After the October Sophos Central release, Sophos Wireless will be available in all Sophos Central accounts. A license key and activation will no longer be required.
Existing Wireless customers will still see their licenses in Sophos Central but with a usage count of 0 (zero), as they are no longer enforced.
I read the article but this does not solve my issue, as the license is saying expires today and I am receiving several emails to my mailbox that license is expiring. In my opion, I wuould expect to see Wireless license is not expiring today. I guess something is wrong with my account.
No. It is fine. All licenses will expire. It is just a relic from the day. As written above, you are a existing wireless customer (trial is a existing license).
You in Sophos do things always at half. If the license is not expiring, I would expect to see no expiring in the console (as you do for XG and UTM home license, where the expiration date is 2999).
Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks RohitKumar. You should "fix" and "improve" this behaviour as it is misleading. Leaving things as half done is not a perfect introductio to Sophos Central.
Just to confirm, AP is still working but the console reports license expired.
