Will Sophos DNS Protection help us secure roaming computers?
I'm wondering if we will still need OpenDNS.
Thank you,
Jason

Hello Jason,
first of all: I am taking part in the EAP for Sophos DNS protection as a Sophos partner and test user, I am no Sophos staff.
Your use case depends on how and which functions of OpenDNS you use. You do not need to be behind a corporate firewall, if that is your question.
As far as I can tell, this could be a complete replacement of things you can do with OpenDNS. You have the advantage of managing the settings in one place together with the other components of Sophos you might use.

In the short term, the roaming endpoint use case will not be covered by DNS Protection. This requires some kind of endpoint agent presence that will take care of identifying the user to the service when we can't rely on recognizing the origin IP address.
We are looking at ways to provide endpoint integration in the future.
